How Can I Manage My Emotional Eating.

How Can I Manage My Emotional Eating and Get the Support I Need?

A registered dietitian (RD) can help you find healthy ways to manage your weight with food. To find one in your area who consults with private clients call (800) 366-1655.

The best place to drop pounds may be your own house of worship. Researchers set up healthy eating and exercise programs in 16 Baltimore churches. More than 500 women participated and after a year the most successful lost an average of 20 lb. Weight loss programs based on faith are so successful because there’s a built-in community component that people can feel comfortable with.

Here’s another reason to keep level-headed all the time: Pennsylvania State University research has found that women less able to cope with stress–shown by blood pressure and heart rate elevations–ate twice as many fatty snacks as stress-resistant women did, even after the stress stopped (in this case, 25 minutes of periodic jackhammer-level noise and an unsolvable maze).

Sitting at a computer may help you slim down. When researchers at Brown University School of Medicine put 92 people on online weight loss programs for a year, those who received weekly e-mail counseling shed 5 1/2 more pounds than those who got none. Counselors provided weekly feedback on diet and exercise logs, answered questions, and cheered them on. Most major online diet programs offer many of these features.

Barack Obama Advice

Scientific studies have uncovered the secrets of living longer -- and a good sex life, eating chocolate and positive thinking are all in there.
In fact, those who indulge in life's little pleasures are shown to outlive miserable abstainers in any number of studies.

But living as long as possible is, according to one piece of research, also dependent on making healthy choices and by adopting just four healthy behaviors -- regular exercise, not smoking, avoiding alcohol abuse and eating five portions of fruit and vegetables a day -- you could add 14 years on to your life.

Research has also shown that a healthy weight, religion and staying out of debt are all other all ways of ensuring you have a long, happy life.

Here we have put together a list of 10 steps you can take to prolong your life, although women be warned ... while marriage can add as much as 10 years to a man's life, the stress of living with a man has been shown to take years off a woman's life.

Have a Good Sex Life
2.5 years

There is plenty of evidence to suggest that lots of sex is good for you. Research from Bristol University proved that men who have frequent orgasms live longer, while a University of California study reckoned a great sex life could add up to two years on your life. Men who have sex less than once a month had twice the risk of an early death than those who had sex twice or more a week.

Take a Wheelchair

Women in wheelchairs often find that their physical condition can severely limit their choices in clothing in addition to their mobility. Clothing is manufactured which is designed to be comfortable and easy to use for people with mobility problems, but there has been a tendency to design with a "one size fits all" approach, making clothing which cater to any kind of disability without taking style into account. Women in wheelchairs now get around because someone many years ago thought of a great way to provide mobility to those injured or sick. Women in wheelchairs might have been injured in an accident, or they might have a disease such as diabetes that has restricted their physical movement.

Electric wheelchairs have much more comfortable seating areas and have armrests that have a control knob or joystick for controlling the unit's direction and speed. The electric wheel chairs have heavy battery packs that power the powerful electric motor and need to be recharged, usually overnight. Electric wheelchairs are not "green" alternatives to something else. They are wheelchairs with large power supplies that allow disabled people to propel themselves - at a fairly fast clip at top speed (up to 10 mph/ a 6 minute mile, which I'll warrant most of you funny guys couldn't do for any significant distance if at all) - rather than being wheeled manually by someone else. Electric wheelchair is using rubber tracks and high torque electric motors , and manufacturer guarantees that it will take you just about anywhere. Even the urban street and stairs, with a incline accent of up to 45-degrees!!

Finger Fungus

An infected finger is one of the most embarrassing things to feel. It is best to avoid finger infections rather than taking steps to eradicate them. Some of the best ways to avoid any form of finger infection is to keep the fingers hygienic and clean. Using the hand hygiene sprays every few hours is one of the easiest ways to ensure hygiene of the fingers. Also, a simple thing like washing hands at regular intervals will keep the finger infections at bay.

Fingers are a miraculous creation. Fingers can do several complex things easily. For our regular activities, fingers play a very crucial role. Hence, it is extremely important to keep them safe from any sort of infections. Among the many infections of the fingers, finger fungus is one infection that is highly painful. The finger fungus starts with a nail infection when the fungal organisms make the nail bed their home. As the fungus grows, the nail becomes thicker with crumbling edges. Finger fungus or for that matter any form of finger infection raises questions on your personal hygiene.

Finger fungus particularly reflects lack of hygiene in a person. Of course, the most indisputable ways to avoid and prevent the fingers to get infections or contract fungi is to keep fingers dry and clean at all times. This infection occurs mainly in people who are required to work in moisture or water for example the sailors and even people who deal with dirt/ dust like miners. Staying clean is the most important step that you can take to prevent any sort of finger infections.

Just because there are several easy home remedies or medicine readily available does not mean that a person can give a finger infection less importance. A person has to be extra cautious while sharing nail clippers and nail enamels as these little things may also cause the spread of the infection. Though medications are easily available to treat an infected finger, the process is often time consuming.
Of the many ways to heal finger fungus is to keep your fingers clean, moisture-free and in light. Fungus tends to grow in the dark so when your fingers are in light, there is less possibility of the fungi to multiply. A mixture of hydrogen peroxide and apple cider vinegar is a good dip for the finger infected with fungi. You may also use tropical creams on the infected area. Usage of tropical creams is also recommended by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

It should be noted that if the fungus is still active on the fingers even after a couple of weeks of the initiation of the infection, an inspection by a doctor is highly recommended. An infected finger is as much a matter of concern as any other infection and should be dealt carefully.

Elizabeth deals with a whole range of medical issues including earache remedies, ingrown toenail remedies, remedies for an ingrown fingernail, a black toenail and also has knowledge of bunions treatment.

Get Rid Of Head Lice

                                      Get Rid Of Head Lice

The best way to remove head lice  is get lice a shampoo and wash your head properly with it.
Use a nit comb regularly. A nit comb is easily available in a medical store. Get the comb and comb your hair with it to remove the lice.
To get rid of lice, you can apply mayonnaise to your hair as it suffocates the louse and their eggs resulting in their death. After keeping it for 2–3 hours, wash your hair thoroughly with a shampoo.
If you do not want to use mayonnaise, then you can go for Vaseline. However, Vaseline could be a bit difficult to wash away from your hair.
You can also use neem oil. Neem oil is a natural insecticide and kills head lice considerably.
Even olive oil is very effective in removing head lice. It suffocates the lice to death.=
Keep your head covered if you go near a lice-infected person.

Presence of head lice shows lack of hygiene. You should remain clean and wash your head after every two days. These lice are very dangerous especially for children. If ignored and not taken care of, these can lead to painful bumps on your head. Due to excessive scratching, the sores on your head can even start to bleed and become more serious.

How is food digested?

How is food digested?

Digestion involves mixing food with digestive juices, moving it through the digestive tract, and breaking down large molecules of food into smaller molecules. Digestion begins in the mouth, when you chew and swallow, and is completed in the small intestine.

Movement of Food Through the System

The large, hollow organs of the digestive tract contain a layer of muscle that enables their walls to move. The movement of organ walls can propel food and liquid through the system and also can mix the contents within each organ. Food moves from one organ to the next through muscle action called peristalsis. Peristalsis looks like an ocean wave traveling through the muscle. The muscle of the organ contracts to create a narrowing and then propels the narrowed portion slowly down the length of the organ. These waves of narrowing push the food and fluid in front of them through each hollow organ.
The first major muscle movement occurs when food or liquid is swallowed. Although you are able to start swallowing by choice, once the swallow begins, it becomes involuntary and proceeds under the control of the nerves.
Swallowed food is pushed into the esophagus, which connects the throat above with the stomach below. At the junction of the esophagus and stomach, there is a ringlike muscle, called the lower esophageal sphincter, closing the passage between the two organs. As food approaches the closed sphincter, the sphincter relaxes and allows the food to pass through to the stomach.

The stomach has three mechanical tasks. First, it stores the swallowed food and liquid. To do this, the muscle of the upper part of the stomach relaxes to accept large volumes of swallowed material. The second job is to mix up the food, liquid, and digestive juice produced by the stomach. The lower part of the stomach mixes these materials by its muscle action. The third task of the stomach is to empty its contents slowly into the small intestine.
Several factors affect emptying of the stomach, including the kind of food and the degree of muscle action of the emptying stomach and the small intestine. Carbohydrates, for example, spend the least amount of time in the stomach, while protein stays in the stomach longer, and fats the longest. As the food dissolves into the juices from the pancreas, liver, and intestine, the contents of the intestine are mixed and pushed forward to allow further digestion.
Finally, the digested nutrients are absorbed through the intestinal walls and transported throughout the body. The waste products of this process include undigested parts of the food, known as fiber, and older cells that have been shed from the mucosa. These materials are pushed into the colon, where they remain until the feces are expelled by a bowel movement.

Care To Eat Meat

With Eid-ul-Azha is falling on Monday, health professionals have advised the people to eat meat in moderate quantity as overeating of meat can be dangerous for people with liver disorders as well as patients of diabetes, hepatitis and jaundice.

"Extra intake of meat can increase blood circulation in stomach among cardiac patients, resulting in ischemic heart diseases while excessive use of salt and chillies increases acidity in stomach and is dangerous for those having problems of regurgitation, ulcers in stomach and small intestines," they said while talking to Business Recorder.
According to them, diabetic patients should not consume much meat because its fats contain nine caloric/grams and the sugar level can shoot up.

Likewise, those facing the problem of high blood pressure must avoid excessive intake of meat as it may cause health complication due to surge in blood pressure level.
Health professionals Dr Saima Shahbaz, Dr Shahid, Dr Sheharyar Bhatti and Dr Masood Sheikh also cautioned against immediate cooking and improper preservation of the meat of sacrificial animals to avoid infectious and fatal diseases among the people especially patients with diabetic, liver, renal, kidney, cardiac and hepatitis complications.
Dr Masood Akhtar Sheikh who is president of Pakistan Medical Society said that one should be careful while defrosting frozen meat.

It should be kept lukewarm for at least six hours and later keep it in a microwave oven for 45 minutes to kill germs, he said.

He added that certain parts of the meat like the brain masala and Sire Paye are rich in cholesterol, hence must be avoided by those having high cholesterol level.
He warned that extra intake of the meat could cause indigestion, diarrhoea, stomach pain, fever, etc.

After a certain period of time, the over-eating starts showing its effects on blood pressure, arthritis, heart diseases, cancer, deficiency of calcium leading to osteoporosis, etc, besides causing obesity which depresses pancreas only to reduce formation of insulin in the body, and may cause diabetes.
Dr Saima Shahbaz cautioned people against using fats attached with the meat as a replacement of the oil or ghee, terming it the most dangerous form of fats that may lead to hypertension, heart disease, angina and heart attack, etc, if used regularly.

She added that both mutton and beef are A-class protein providers and high in nutritional value.
It may be noted that sacrificial meat of animals, including goat, cow, sheep and camel, which is known as red meat, is eaten excessively on Eid-ul-Azha.

Veterinary doctors are of the view that meat is a complete medium for micro-organisms, hence, a precious diet for human consumption.

After sacrifice, meat should be kept at a cool place before freezing, because it undergoes mortis phenomenon after slaughtering.

They said the meat should be properly cooked, as half-baked meat could cause infectious diseases like fever, typhoid and stomach diseases.

They also advised the people to avoid keeping sacrificial animals meat for more than 10 days in refrigerators as such practice exterminates proteins and may have negative impacts on health.

Keeping meat in refrigerators for more than 10 days is not a good practice because such freezing exterminates the proteins, they added.
Moreover, provincial health department has asked the management's of government hospitals to make adequate arrangements on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha to provide health cover to people.

The Punjab Chief Minister has directed that senior professors and consultants must attend hospitals during Eid holidays and he would check their presence in the hospitals.

The management's of hospitals have also made arrangements to ensure presence of doctors and paramedics during Eid holidays.

Final Touch

How To Apply Makeup

Lipstick provides the final touch to your makeup; without it no look is complete. For a perfect result, you will need a steady hand, some practice, the correct implementats and a knowledge of the correcting techniques.
What You Would Need?
A narrow, flat ended brush, a selection of finely sharpened lip pencils, lipgloss and lipstick(either the conventional tube lipstick or the cream type with a sponge-tip applicator. If your lip colour is uneven, then you will need a special lip base or balancer-use a lighter tone on the dark areas and a dark tone on the light areas. These balancers also form a base for lipstick and help to keep the colour of the lipstick pure and clear.
Lip Makeup Application Technique:
1.Outlining With Lip Liner:
Before outlining the lips check that your lips are smooth and grease free.Use a sharp lip liner pencil in a shade close to that of your lipstick colour and with a steady hand, lightly outline the lips. For the upper lip, start at the centre and work out, towards the corner of the mouth. For the lower lip, work from side to side.
2.Priming The Lips With A Lip Balancer:
Fill in the lips with a special base or balancer to even out the skin tones. If your lips are of an even colour, use a face powder as a base.
3.Filling Up With Lipstick:
Using a lip brush, fill in the colour. For the upper lip start at the center and work outwards. On the lower lip work from side to side.Don't pile up too much colour. It is much easier to add more later than to remove any excess.
4.Blotting Off:
Fold a clean tissue and place it between your lips.Press the lips lightly together to remove the excess colour and to help seal the remainder, so that it stays on the lips rather than moving onto every glass you use.
5.Final Lip Gloss Application:
Finally finish with a lip gloss to get a gleaming look. However, women with extra-full lips, should use lip gloss very sparingly.
Shaping Up Your Lips:
Through a knowledge of what you can do to correct lip shape you can truly achieve a perfect finish to your face.Study the shape of your lips, identify the defects, if any, and decide on what you want to achieve and then proceed.
1.Small Mouth With Small Lips:
These are easily corrected by taking the lip liner pencil outside the natural lip line.Work slowly and steadily to form a perfect shape.Fill in with primer and finally with the lipstick.A highlight of frosting on the upper lip would also create an impression of fullness.
2.Large Mouth With Full Lips:
Apply liquid foundation makeup to the entire mouth, then outline with a dark shade of lipstick just inside the natural contours of the mouth. Then apply lipstick of a lighter shade carefully and accurately within this outline.Subdued shades work well for this kind of mouth.Use medium toned lip colours and avoid dark browns, plums, electric brights or pale shimmer shades.
3.Full Upper Lip:
Apply fluid foundation makeup to the upper lip.Outline just inside its natural contour and apply a dark shade of lipstick. Then outline the lower lip just outside its natural contour and emphasize by filling in with a lighter shade of lipstick.
4.Full Lower Lip:
Outline upper lip just outside its natural contour.Apply a light shade of lipstick and in the center add a touch of lip gloss.Apply fluid foundation makeup to the lower lip. Outline just inside its natural contour. Then fill in with a darker shade of lipstick, using a lip brush.
5.Wide Mouth:
Cover the corners of the mouth with foundation makeup or a cover stick.Apply lipstick with a lip brush, stopping a few millimeters before the corners of the mouth are reached.
Patching Up:
If makeup has to be touched up during the day, only powder makeup should be applied, using a brush.Use gentle patting strokes and blot the excess off.

Massage Therapy

Massage is even believed to help enhance the elimination of toxic substances which are transported out of the body by the lymphatic system. This lymphatic drainage, while beneficial, needs to be helped along by you. Hence, it is always recommended that one drink plenty of purified water after a massage, to push the toxins through the elimination process quicker.
To choose a qualified massage therapist take a look at the bangkok massage girls pics.
Experts estimate that 80 percent to 90 percent of disease is stress-related. Massage and bodywork is there to combat that frightening number by helping us remember what it means to relax. The physical changes massage brings to your body can have a positive effect in many areas of your life. Besides increasing relaxation and decreasing anxiety, massage lowers your blood pressure, increases circulation, improves recovery from injury, helps you to sleep better and can increase your concentration. It reduces fatigue and gives you more energy to handle stressful situations.
Massage is a perfect elixir for good health, but it can also provide an integration of body and mind. By producing a meditative state or heightened awareness of living in the present moment, massage can provide emotional and spiritual balance, bringing with it true relaxation and peace.
2.Kneading:
Kneading is a firm stroke used on a specific area to help release muscle tension and improve circulation.Gently grasp the area(e.g. calf, thigh, or fleshy area over the hip) with both hands and make a kneading action similar to that of kneading dough.
3.Draining:
A light-to medium-pressure stroke which relaxes and stretches the muscles and improves circulation.Use either the heel of the hand on larger areas (e.g. thigh) or the thumbs on smaller areas(e.g. calves, forearms). With one hand following the other, push firmly using the heel or thumb of first hand and the next, traveling slowly upward along the limb or muscle.
4.Pulling:
This stroke can be used to pull and stretch the muscles of the trunk, and the legs.Use alternating hands in a pulling motion, gradually moving them up the body.
5.Wringing:
This stroke is similar to "pulling", but works right across the body or limb. This is a good stroke with which to finish a particular sequence and can be used on the torse, legs, and arms.Start with hands placed either side of the body or limb.Moving the hands in a forward and back motion across the body, progress slowly up toward the head.
6.Friction Strokes:
These are deeper strokes which allow you to work around joints and into the muscles and tendons, to iron out knots and release tension.Using the thumbs or fingertips, work slowly and firmly into the area, making tiny circular movements.Different individuals will prefer different pressures-some will only be able to tolerate light pressure, others will want you to work as deeply as possible.
7.Percussive Strokes:
Percussive strokes, such as hacking, cupping and plucking, are used to stimulate areas, improve circulation, and release muscle tension. They can be used on the shoulders, arms, legs, buttocks, and gently along the back.Do not use percussive strokes directly on the spine. These strokes are not an essential part of any massage sequence, but you may wish to incorporate some of them into your routine. They can be performed very lightly, or with more intensity, as appropriate.Remember to keep your hands and wrists as relaxed as possible.
8.Hacking:
With hands open and palms facing each other, make an alternating "chopping" motion up and down the body.As a variation on this stroke, curl the fingers into loose fists to create more of pummeling effect on the body.
9.Cupping:
Cup hands and face palms downwards.Keeping hands cupped, gently beat up and down along the body.
10.Pinching Or Plucking:
Gently lift small amounts of flesh and let it slide through the fingers.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy: A Step By Step Guide
Different Types Of Stroke And Pressure:

There are a variety of different strokes that can be used, ranging from the most delicate touch with the fingertips to focussed deep-tissue work. All strokes can be varied in speed and pressure.Keeping your hands relaxed, begin working slowly and rhythmatically, gradually building up speed and pressure as you experiment.
Some basic points:
1.As a general rule, strokes should be made firmly in the direction of the heart, and then lightly for the return stroke.
2.By varying their intensity, strokes can be used either to stimulate or relax.
3.Ideally the reciever should experience the massage as one long series of rhythmic strokes.
Massage Position:
Avoid working only from your hands and shoulders.Use the weight and movement of your whole body to improve the fluidity of your strokes and to help you when you wish to use more pressure.
Massage Strokes:
1.Gliding:
This stroke is used a great deal throughout the massage sequence and is particularly useful for applying oil to the body.It can be a feather-light or a firm re-assuring stroke.Keeping the fingers together and hands outstretched, glide the hands forward along the length of the body or limb, retaining contact with the flat of the hand. The strokes you employ can be either long or circular, using one or both hands. The function of gliding strokes is to relax and stretch your partners muscles.

Look Handsome - Shaving tips for gentlemen

Please note that all tips are great for sensitive skin.

1. Shave right after taking a warm shower. Once out of the shower, thoroughly wet your face with warm water. The steam and water will soften up your beard.

2. Massage a shave oil or cream into your beard (a shaving brush can help). Don't worry about a bunch of lather - it's not doing squat if it isn't touching your skin! Give your shave product about 30 seconds to sink in and reactivate if necessary with a splash of H2O.

3. Using a clean, multi-bladed razor, begin shaving with the grain of hair growth (usually downward). Use short strokes, rinsing the blade often.

Shave the "easy areas" first (cheeks), while leaving the neck, chin and upper lip for last. This will allow these tuff areas more time to soften up.

- Use your free hand to stretch your skin, creating a smooth surface for the razor.

- Only go against the grain at the end to get stubborn hairs.

4. Rinse your face thoroughly with cool water to cleanse the skin and close the pores. If needed, pat your face with a soft towel.

5. Generously apply a balm or moisturizing aftershave. Steer clear of any aftershave containing alcohol, which will hurt like a mother and dry your skin out.

Solving Shaving Challenges

Does your morning shave feature more bleeding than a Red Cross Blood Drive? Does it leave your face feeling hotter than a stereo at a pawnshop?

If you can relate to the discomfort above, you must read the text below. Do so and you’ll find solutions for some of the most common shaving challenges.

The Challenge: Nicks & Cuts

The Solutions:

- Spend more time warming your skin before shaving. Shave right after a hot shower and make sure to splash some warm H2O on your mug throughout the process.

- Prior to shave gel or cream, apply a pre-shave oil. This will help your facial hairs  stand at attention and also give your razor some extra “slip.”

The Challenge: Razor Bumps

The Solutions:

- Shaving with the grain of hair growth can often prevent these. But note, your facial hair doesn’t always grow straight down.

- Use an exfoliator or face scrub twice a week to remove dead skin cells and to uproot ingrown hairs (which lead to razor bumps).

- Apply a targeted ingrown hair solution.

The Challenge: Razor Burn

The Solutions:

- Prior to shave gel or cream, apply a pre-shave oil. This will help your facial hairs stand at attention and also give your razor some extra “slip.”

- Make sure not to press to hard with your razor.

- Always use a fresh, sharp blade.

- After shaving, apply a super-hydrating aftershave. Avoid anything with alcohol.

The Challenge: Missed Shaving Spots

The Solutions:

- Instead of using a shaving cream, try a see-through shaving gel. Being translucent, these products will allow you to see exactly what you are and aren’t shaving.

The Challenge: Ultra-Sensitive Skin

The Solutions:

- Follow the Grooming Lounge’s Guide To A Great Wet Shave.

- Make sure to stay loyal to a solid daily skincare regimen. Doing this will have a  positive effect on your daily shave.

- Don’t rub your face with a towel pre or post shave. Instead, get in touch with your feminine side and pat your skin.

Grooming Facial Hair

If you've got it, you might as well keep it nicely groomed. So, brush those Pop Tart crumbs out of your whiskers and follow these tips for keeping your beard in good shape:

Trimming Your Facial Hair

- When possible, have your beard, moustache or goatee trimmed professionally by a barber.

Quality barbers are hard to find today, but most will do a great job.

- If you need to trim it yourself, stay away from the scissors (unless you have a few pints of extra blood in the fridge)! Instead, get yourself a cordless beard trimmer, preferably one with a couple different length settings.

Cleaning Your Facial Hair

- Sure it's economical, but storing pieces of dinner in your beard just doesn't look right. To keep your facial hair clean, wash and condition it just like the hair on your head.

- To remove beard tangles, detangle using a wide-tooth comb.

How  To  Make  Your  Goatee  Even

- Face it, the ladies aren't clamoring for guys with lopsided goatees. To keep your goatee properly aligned, always use a shaving oil or clear gel. Unlike foam, these products will allow you to see exactly what you are and are not shaving.

Wet Blade vs. Electric Razor

If you have the time, giving yourself a wet shave is always the way to go. A wet shave gets closer, offers a smaller chance of breaking out and leaves your face feeling much smoother than an electric razor.

That said, an electric razor is the only option for the car (we hope) or when you have limited time. If you are going the electric route, there are some products available on the market that can help your facial hairs stand on end and make an electric shave a bit smoother.

Shaving Solutions from the Pros

Everyday, Grooming Experts shave the faces of powerful men – political figures, captains of industry and guys who are just really, really strong. Through these interactions one thing is clear – while men know a lot about government, business and sports – they’re just a little perplexed in regards to shaving basics. That’s where we come in.

Below please find answers to the questions most commonly posed to our expert staff.

Q: Is shaving lather really important?

A: Too much lather is just a waste of money! Why keep piling on foam that will never touch your face? For the best shave, we recommend a shaving oil, gel or a moisturizing cream (there's no need to put so much on you look like Santa).

Q: Should I shave with or against the grain?

A: The majority of your shave should be in the direction of hair growth (most commonly downwards, but sometimes diagonal). Occasionally, shaving against the grain is required at the end of a shave to get tuff-to-reach or stubborn spots.

Q: No matter what I try, I continue to break out. What should I do?

A: A paper bag is a good first step (bada-bing). But seriously, any persistent skin or shaving disorder should be looked at by a reputable doctor. If you don’t want to take that step, select a quality spa in your area and visit a skin care pro for a prescriptive skin care regimen (the problem may not be your shave – but rather your daily skincare regimen).

Q: What about aftershave?

A: Most traditional aftershaves have a large volume of alcohol in them. This ain't good for many reasons, just two of which are: 1) They sting a cleanly shaven face like crazy 2) They’re big-time drying to the skin. A better way to go is a soothing post-shave balm or a gel. These products calm down and re-moisturize the skin.

Q: What causes razor bumps and how can I get rid of them?

A: When hair curls around and re-enters the skin (an ingrown hair) this creates a razor bump. To rid yourself of ingrown hairs and the resulting razor bumps - use an exfoliator to remove dead skin cells or a face scrub to free ingrowns. Also, warming the face thoroughly will make you kinder to existing bumps. If all else fails, try a targeted ingrown hair solution.

Q: How can I stop razor burn?

A: You might need to tenderize (it's a better word than soften) your face a bit more prior to shaving - possibly even shave in the shower. You also may be pressing too hard or using a dull blade. Make sure to moisturize after.

Q: I cut myself a lot when shaving. How can I stop this?

A: First, take a look at the shaving regimen described on our site. This should outline a solid morning routine. Little tidbits for avoiding cuts include: 1) using short strokes with a clean blade 2) Heating and softening the skin more prior to shaving.

Finally, when you do slip up, stop the gushing with a moist alum block. It's going to sting… but you're a man (right?).

Q: I'm using shaving oil and sometimes I feel the blade sticking to my skin. What can I do to loosen it up?

A:Shaving oil can be reactivated with a splash of H2O. Also, make sure to rinse out the blade consistently throughout the shave.

Q: Is there a difference between razors?

A: Some people will tell you NO… but here at The Grooming Lounge we know there is a difference. Some of the new multi-blade brands feature technology that cuts hair more easily than before. Additionally, when used properly these multi-blade razors cut down on necessary re-shaves and the resulting skin irritation. They are definitely the way to go.

Shaving with the Grain

Remember the TV show "Fantasy Island" when Mr. Rourke's diminutive sidekick, Tattoo, would point to the sky and shout "Da Grain, Da Grain"? Now, while you may have mistakenly thought he was referencing an incoming plane - truth is - our little friend was instead extolling the virtues of shaving with "the grain" of hair growth. Tattoo just thought a great shave should be more than fantasy.

Anyway, television references aside, it's a fact that every shave is made more comfortable when shaving with the grain of hair growth. And when we say with the grain, we just don't mean downward. Instead, it is important that you take a look at the different ways your facial hair flows. While it may grow directly downward on your cheeks, the follicles on your neck may run in several different directions. Because of this, a superior shave requires that you diagnose each section (or direction) individually and shave in that direction accordingly.

Here are a few more grains of wisdom for shaving with… well you know:

•Use a transparent shaving oil or gel that will allow you to see exactly where and what   direction you're shaving.

•When shaving side to side or at an odd angle, be extremely careful (no slicing motions   Einstein).

Using short strokes and rinsing your blade often will increase safety.

•It's worth it, but shaving with the grain often requires a little more time. With this extra time, make sure to keep the to-be-shaved parts of your face moist and lubricated.

•As a last resort, it's OK to go against the grain to get those stubborn hairs. But try to keep  this action to a minimum as it can really irritate the skin.

Well along with flight attendant job resume cover letter is the all important resume that you have to
forward, you should also be aware of the various interview techniques, questions asked in interview and success tips to clear those airline interviews, as after forwarding your resume you may receive a call for an interview anytime, so be prepared.

Think Before

So be true with your partner if there is mistake of past that haunts you, just talk it out, life is not same for all so its pretty much okay that there is something that haunts you. So talk about it and accept your partner with their past. Acceptance is the key. When you accept one another you will be able to trust them no matter what and that feeling of trust will play a major role in your mind to get your ORGASM, As emotions do play a major role here. May be this is why we are always taught to say TRUTH as then things will be simpler and we would be able to concentrate on the things going on right now rather the things of our past of the related event like remembering our relationship while having sex or any other event. KISS (Keep It Simple and Silly)

As mind plays great role in that is why various reasons restricts woman to achieve orgasm. like 1) No or less synchronization with partner, as your partner might not want to have sex when you want it and vice verse. 2) No or less openness with your partner. 3) Lack of emotional binding. 4) Distrust in your partner. 5) Own hypothetical believes like I never had orgasm in past and can never have in future as well. 6) Shame with your partner or high self esteem etc. You name it and the list will go on. I believe the best thing we could do is to empty our already filled cup of our self esteem, pride, shame etc. etc. When you make love just enjoy the moment, accept the fact that this 1 hr. or 2 hr. you cannot do anything else, so do it the best way possible. Surrender both partner to one another the way nature has sent you. It is not always easy to do it as there will always be something running at the back of your mind like does he really love me? does he want it and so on

G-Spot exists, it doesn't hahahaaaa, well I don't have much knowledge as I have never been engage in any kind of sexual activity before however I masturbate sometimes, may be to calm myself down or sometimes just to enjoy myself and loneliness ;-). I believe any activity we do, we actually do in our mind, when we see this world through our eyes that time we are just creating an image of this world in our brain likewise we perceive this world through our 5 senses but in reality it is the mind which is doing it all, so mind is the most potent sex organ of our body, may be this is the reason different women get orgasm thru different methods and may be this is the reason sometimes when I feel alone I just cannot content myself by any means cause I am trying to stimulate myself thru porn but in reality my mind is not there. So 1st most important thing to remember is that MIND IS THE MOST POTENT SEX ORGAN OF OUR BODY.

I have a G-spot and I have experianced orgasums from stimulating it. It's about the length of my index finger in my vagina o the front wall and feels similar in shpe and size to a split lentil. When It's stimulated I feel like I need to pee but if I stick with it and hold on I orgasum, although it takes some time to acheive this it's well worth it. Also it's not yet clear if ALL women have one - kind of like whether you can roll your tounge or not, it's genetic. I'm lucky in another way in that having my cervix stimulated causes me to orgasum too, though not as strongly as clitorial or g-spot orgasums.

Eye Care Makeup

Eye Care Makeup
Total Eye Care is Dermatologist’s answer for an eye cream that addresses more than just hydrating the skin. The skin around the eye area is very delicate; it is no wonder that the eyes are one of the first places to show the signs of aging and damage. The skin around the eyes is thinner and does not contain any oil glands.

Eye Care Makeup
As we age fine lines appear due to the lack of moisture around the eye area, and the elasticity and collagen breaks down causing our skin to fold around the eye area from all of those years of sun damage. Some people suffer with puffiness and dark circles around the eyes and flakiness and dryness can become more apparent from the lack of oils in the eye area.

Most eye creams are only capable of hydrating the tissues around the eyes and in fact some eye creams can be overly-hydrating they actually clog the delicate eye area causing milia (little white hard lumps under the skin’s surface). Milia can be caused from rich ingredients such as mineral oil or lanolin; I have even found these ingredients in eye makeup removers.

Milia can be hard to remove and normally involves a treatment with a skin care therapist who is skilled at removing milia with a needle! I have seen this on many individuals and can also be caused from using your normal moisturiser around your eye area.
Moisturisers in general are made for your face and not your eyes. Eye creams are formulated with a smaller molecular structure, so they can penetrate the delicate eye tissue and not clog the pores.

It makes your face more beautiful and lively.

Your lips are the most important and exquisitely sensitive part of your body. And therefore you have to take special care of your lips.
When you come across someone, the first thing that catches your attention is the face. Soft healthy pink lips usually draw attention. They lend a fresh invigorating look to your face. Lips are the most sensitive part of our body and therefore require constant nurturing. Thus, it is of prime importance to pay attention to your lips. Dry chapped lips spoil the whole look and make your face appear dull, pale and unattractive.
Well, in this article, we will present you with a couple of tips on how to take care of your lips,
so read on.Lip care does not comprise of a single task, but a series of activities that need to be performed on a constant basis to get a fruitful result. Luscious lips set the perfect mood for romance. To reduce the proximity between you and your partner, take regular care of your lips, so that they look fresh and healthy.
Luscious lips also provide you the opportunity to stand out in the crowd. They bring you in the limelight
Protect your lips from the harsh weather conditions. Eat plenty of green veggies and fruits. Gorge on foods rich in Vitamins.
Increase your intake of water. Apply lip balm and keep your lips moisturized. Lips will look beautiful and attractive only if they are healthy. Applying makeup on dry chapped dark lips will not make them appear eye-catchy. It can only invite unwanted attention that brings forth the fact that your lips are dry and chapped. Refrain from licking your lips.

Tips how to make lipstick last long

The secret to making your lip color last longer is first of all to apply a layer of foundation, dust some powder on lips and then color. After these manipulations your lipstick will not change color or dark your lips. It’s also useful to apply two coats of lipstick for long lasting lip color. Matt lipsticks normally last longer than the shiny ones.

Applying a lip liner

After preparing the lips, take a lip liner to define the shape of lips. Outlining the lips is good, if you want to prevent lip color bleeding. The color of the lip liner should be close to lipstick color: the best variant would be the same or a little bit darker color.
Here are tips how to apply a lip liner. Start at the centre of lips, draw a “V” on bow of lips, after it draw the line to outer corners. Then line the bottom lip. If you want to make your lips look thicker, outline them just outside your lip line. In case you want your lips appear thinner, make the outline just inside your natural lip line. After the shape is defined, fill it with lipstick. After filling the interiors, apply the lipstick in the corners, which is easier with the open the mouth
Some more tip for lip care and a beautiful lip make-up

* Use lip care stick before going to bed with your other face treatment. Your lips are sensitive and need care and rest. Very dried and chipped lips can also be helped by applying sunflower oil on them.
* You can apply lipstick with a brush.
* Mix lip care stick with color lipstick, if your lips tend to look dried and chipped. Too much lip care stick can make the final color brighter in the middle and the rest color concentrate on the periphery of the lips.
* Refrain from licking your lips.
* Lip-gloss can be applied either alone or on matte lipstick to make your lips shine.
* Apply cotton buds to remove excess lipstick.

You can always experiment and create new beautiful looks with different colors of the lipstick and lip liners, mixing lipstick and lip-gloss, drawing different shapes of your lips. While experimenting don’t forget to regularly take care of your lips, because if your lips are healthy, they look much more attractive and can be a real turn-on.

A tip for Sophisticated women

Layer fragrances and lipsticks :A tip for Sophisticated women

Sophisticated women know how to properly layer fragrances to create their own signature blends.

How to do it? Take your favorite scent and layer a new one atop it. Try out several versions until you find your favorite blend.

The safest way to blend is via citrus notes, which can be layered with floral, woodsy and amber-y fragrances.

You can do the same with lipsticks. Create your own shades with mattes and glosses. If you don't like a shade, don't throw it out, perfect one with other colors in your beauty drawer.

Facts About the Human Body

1: Tongue Print
Don't stick out your tongue if you want to hide your identity. Similar to fingerprints, everyone also has a unique tongue print!
2: Shedding
Your pet isn't the only one in the house with a shedding problem. Humans shed about 600,000 particles of skin every hour. That works out to about 1.5 pounds each year, so the average person will lose around 105 pounds of skin by age 70.
3: Bone Count
An adult has fewer bones than a baby. We start off life with 350 bones, but because bones fuse together during growth, we end up with only 206 as adults.
4: New Stomach
Did you know that you get a new stomach lining every three to four days? If you didn't, the strong acids your stomach uses to digest food would also digest your stomach.
5: Scent Remembering
Your nose is not as sensitive as a dog's, but it can remember 50,000 different scents.
6: Long Intestines
The small intestine is about four times as long as the average adult is tall. If it weren't looped back and forth upon itself, its length of 18 to 23 feet wouldn't fit into the abdominal cavity, making things rather messy.
7: Bacteria
This will really make your skin crawl: Every square inch of skin on the human body has about 32 million bacteria on it, but fortunately, the vast majority of them are harmless.
8: Source of Body Odor
The source of smelly feet, like smelly armpits, is sweat. And people sweat buckets from their feet. A pair of feet have 500,000 sweat glands and can produce more than a pint of sweat a day.
9: Sneeze Speed
The air from a human sneeze can travel at speeds of 100 miles per hour or more -- another good reason to cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze -- or duck when you hear one coming your way.
10: Blood Distance
Blood has a long road to travel: Laid end to end, there are about 60,000 miles of blood vessels in the human body. And the hard-working heart pumps about 2,000 gallons of blood through those vessels every day.
11: Saliva Quantity
You may not want to swim in your spit, but if you saved it all up, you could. In a lifetime, the average person produces about 25,000 quarts of saliva -- enough to fill two swimming pools!

12: Snore Loudness
By 60 years of age, 60-percent of men and 40-percent of women will snore. But the sound of a snore can seem deafening. While snores average around 60 decibels, the noise level of normal speech, they can reach more than 80 decibels. Eighty decibels is as loud as the sound of a pneumatic drill breaking up concrete. Noise levels over 85 decibels are considered hazardous to the human ear.
13: Hair Color and Count
Blondes may or may not have more fun, but they definitely have more hair. Hair color helps determine how dense the hair on your head is, and blondes (only natural ones, of course), top the list. The average human head has 100,000 hair follicles, each of which is capable of producing 20 individual hairs during a person's lifetime. Blondes average 146,000 follicles. People with black hair tend to have about 110,000 follicles, while those with brown hair are right on target with 100,000 follicles. Redheads have the least dense
14: Nail Growth
If you're clipping your fingernails more often than your toenails, that's only natural. The nails that get the most exposure and are used most frequently grow the fastest. Fingernails grow fastest on the hand that you write with and on the longest fingers. On average, nails grow about one-tenth of an inch each month.
15: Head Weight
No wonder babies have such a hard time holding up their heads: The human head is one-quarter of our total length at birth but only one-eighth of our total length by the time we reach adulthood.

16: Need for Sleep
If you say that you're dying to get a good night's sleep, you could mean that literally. You can go without eating for weeks without succumbing, but eleven days is tops for going without sleep. After eleven days, you'll be asleep -- forever!
Now check out:

FEVER

Alternative Names
Elevated temperature; Hyperthermia; Pyrexia
Considerations
Normal body temperature varies.

In children younger than 6 months of age, the daily variation is small.
In children 6 months to 2 years old, the daily variation is about 1 degree.
Daily variations gradually increase to 2 degrees per day by age 6.
Body temperature varies less in adults. However, a woman's menstrual cycle can elevate temperature by one degree or more.

Your body temperature is usually highest in the evening. It can be raised by physical activity, strong emotion, eating, heavy clothing, medications, high room temperature, and high humidity. This is especially true in children.

A rectal temperature up to 100.4°F (38°C) may be entirely normal. A rectal temperature of 100.5°F or above should always be considered a fever. Lower values might be a fever, depending on the person.

Fever is not an illness. Far from being an enemy, it is an important part of the body's defense against infection. Many infants and children develop high fevers with minor viral illnesses. While a fever signals to us that a battle might be going on in the body, the fever is fighting for the person, not against.

Most bacteria and viruses that cause infections in people thrive best at 98.6°F. Raising the temperature a few degrees can give your body the winning edge. In addition, a fever activates the body's immune system to make more white blood cells, antibodies, and other infection-fighting agents.

Many parents fear that fevers will cause brain damage. Brain damage from a fever generally will not occur unless the fever is over 107.6°F (42°C). Many parents also fear that untreated fevers will keep going higher and higher. Untreated fevers caused by infection will seldom go over 105°F unless the child is overdressed or trapped in a hot place.

Some parents fear that fevers will cause seizures. For the great majority of children, this is not the case. However, febrile seizures do occur in some children. Once a child is already known to have a high fever, a febrile seizure is unlikely with the current illness. In any event, simple febrile seizures are over in moments with no lasting consequences.

Although infections are the most common causes of elevated body temperature, fevers have a long list of other causes, including toxins, cancers, and autoimmune diseases.

Heatstroke is a particularly dangerous type of high temperature, because the body is not able to stop the temperature from continuing to rise. It can happen when a child is left in a hot car or when you exercise too strenuously without enough to drink.

Unexplained fevers that continue for days or weeks are called fevers of undetermined origin (FUO).

Home Care
If the fever is mild and no other problems are present, no medical treatment is required. Drink fluids and rest. If a child is playful and comfortable, drinking plenty of fluids, and able to sleep, fever treatment is not likely to help.

Take steps to lower a fever if you or your child is uncomfortable, vomiting, dehydrated, or having difficulty sleeping. The goal is to lower, not eliminate, the fever.

When trying to reduce a fever:

DO NOT bundle up someone who has the chills.
Remove excess clothing or blankets. The environment should be comfortably cool. For example, one layer of lightweight clothing, and one lightweight blanket to sleep. If the room is hot or stuffy, a fan may help.
A lukewarm bath or sponge bath may help cool someone with a fever. This is especially effective after medication is given -- otherwise the temperature might bounce right back up.
DO NOT use cold baths or alcohol rubs. These cool the skin, but often make the situation worse by causing shivering, which raises the core body temperature.
Drink cool liquids, as tolerated.
Here are some guidelines for taking medicine:
Acetaminophen and ibuprofen help reduce fever in children and adults.
Take acetaminophen every 4-6 hours. It works by turning down the brain's thermostat. Take ibuprofen every 6-8 hours. Like aspirin, it helps fight inflammation at the source of the fever. Sometimes doctors advise you to use both types of medicine. Ibuprofen is not approved for use under 6 months of age.
Aspirin is very effective for treating fever in adults. DO NOT give aspirin to children unless specifically directed by your doctor.
Fever medicines come in different concentrations, so always check the instructions on the package.
Don't use any medicine to reduce fever in children under 3 months of age without first contacting a health care provider.
If someone has heat exhaustion or heat stroke, remove the person from the warm area. Sponge the person with tepid water. Place ice packs in the armpits, behind the neck, and in the groin. Give fluids if the person is alert. Seek medical attention. If heat illness is causing the fever, medicines may not lower the body temperature and may even be harmful.

Call your health care provider if
Call a doctor right away if:

A baby less than 90 days old has a rectal temperature of 100.2°F (37.9°C) or higher.
A baby 3 to 6 months old has a fever of 101°F (38.3°C) or higher.
A baby 6 to 12 months old has a fever of 103°F (39.4°C) or higher.
A child under age two years has a fever that lasts longer than 24 to 48 hours.
A fever lasts longer than 48 to 72 hours in older children and adults.
Anyone has a fever over 105°F (40.5°C), unless it comes down readily with treatment and the person is comfortable.
There are other worrisome symptoms. For example, irritability, confusion, difficulty breathing, stiff neck, inability to move an arm or leg, or first-time seizure.
There are other symptoms that suggest an illness may need to be treated, such as a sore throat, earache, or cough.
You think you may have incorrectly dosed acetaminophen or ibuprofen.
What to expect at your health care provider's office
Your doctor will perform a physical examination, which may include a detailed examination of the skin, eyes, ears, nose, throat, neck, chest, and abdomen to look for the cause of the fever. Your doctor may ask questions such as.

How long has the fever lasted?
Is it increasing? Is it increasing rapidly?
Has the fever gone away?
How many days did it take for the fever to go away?
Do you have alternating chills and fever?
How frequently does it alternate (days, hours)?
Did it occur within four to six hours after exposure to something that you might be allergic to?
Does the fever follow an up and down pattern (is it high, then lower, then high)?
Did it develop suddenly?
Does the temperature go up and down suddenly (spike) or does it change slowly?
Does it go away and then come back again daily?
Treatment depends on the duration and cause of the fever, and on other accompanying symptoms.

The following diagnostic tests may be performed:

Blood studies, such as a CBC or blood differential
Urinalysis
X-ray of the chest

Diabetic Eye Disease Treatment

 Treatment
Self-Care at Home
If the patient controls their weight, eats a proper diabetic diet, exercises regularly, monitors blood sugars, and takes the prescribed diabetic medications, the chances of developing serious problems due to diabetes mellitus decrease dramatically.

If the patient has diabetic eye disease and is experiencing serious visual problems, almost all treatment will require the care provided by an ophthalmologist.

Diabetic Eye Disease Symptoms

Diabetic Eye Disease Symptoms

If the patient has fairly large, rapid shifts in their blood sugar levels, they may notice that their vision becomes blurry. This may occur prior to the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus, or it may develop after the initiation of treatment or a change in treatment of diabetes mellitus. This difficulty with vision or focusing will disappear once blood sugar levels have been stable for approximately one week.

Even if the patient has background diabetic retinopathy or early proliferative diabetic retinopathy, it is possible that they may not have any symptoms, or they may experience mild-to-severe blurring or vision loss. Many people with severe diabetic eye disease may not realize that they have a vision problem until it is too late and permanent damage has already occurred.

If the patient has a cataract, vision may become blurry or hazy. At night, the patient may experience glare from oncoming lights.

If the patient has glaucoma, they may not experience any symptoms until a significant loss of vision has already occurred.
