The title of the breed is Spanish, means “Canarian catch dog” and is often shortened to “Presa Canario” or simply “Presa.” The breed can be known as Dogo Canario, that means Canarian Molosser. Presas are of robust character and are dominant animals requiring early socialization and obedience training. In some conditions, the Presa may be aggressive towards different dogs and suspicious of strangers.
